The Plexus world originated in the 1990s when AIAG (Automotive Industry Action Group) and the Big Three of the American automotive market (Ford, General Motors, and Chrysler) recognized the need for a partner capable of reaching the entire supply chain to spread a culture of quality, both in terms of systems and operational "core tools."
