Training description: for several years, Reverse PFMEA has become part of the automotive Customer Specific Requirements (CSR), integrating the IATF 16949 standard.

To date, there are no standards or guidelines available for the implementation and appropriate documentation of this activity. Automotive organizations are often struggling in defining an effective and value-added method to meet this requirement.

The course aims to propose a suitable process for planning, preparation, execution and documentation of the Reverse FMEA in 4 stages, combining theoretical activities and practical exercises.

Training course outline:

• Phase 1 – Planning: identify “what RFMEA should be”

• Phase 2 – Validating: comparing current process vs. documented PFMEA

• Phase 3 – Exploring: discover news failure modes / causes

• Phase 4 – Evolving: implementing what has been learned
