Lean Manufacturing
Codice: C27
Objective: Advanced Total Quality models are often supplemented by specific customer requirements, aimed at guiding every organization toward excellence and the achievement of the required continuous improvement.
Efficiency and resource optimization are the indispensable keys to success for any supplier company that is a key player in the global aerospace market.
There are a number of tools designed to achieve “lean manufacturing,” aimed at analyzing the various production, logistics, and quality aspects of business processes, including:
·Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
·First Time Through (FTT)
·Dock to Dock (DTD)
·Process flow analysis
·5S Workplaces
·Standardization of workstations.
Each indicator involves a sequence of activities aimed at achieving the expected benefits in accordance with the established objectives, following a traditional Plan–Do–Check–Act approach.
The same approach will therefore be followed during our organization’s intervention, according to a scheme that can be summarized as follows:
·Plan: Understand Lean Manufacturing indicators through targeted training sessions for company staff dedicated to the activity; plan the methods and timelines for implementation based on specific case studies defined jointly.
·Do: carry out the planned studies, with the collaboration of our team members.
·Check: measure the results captured through the activities carried out. Translate the collected evidence into Lean Manufacturing indicators, compare them to the set targets, identify strengths and weaknesses, and assign priorities for action to eliminate inefficiencies and “bottlenecks.”
·Act: Implement the previously planned improvement actions aimed at eliminating inefficiencies and waste, involving all personnel interested in achieving the final result.
