Objective and content: The course is intended for those who already have prior knowledge of auditing procedures and/or the regulatory requirements of the aviation sector. It is designed to reduce variability in auditors’ judgments and to provide them with a rigorous process for managing and conducting audit activities.

The course combines group and individual activities, case studies, and exercises following this thematic structure:

•     Introduction to the 9100 standard: the history, target audience, content, and objectives of the standard within the aviation sector. The added value of the ICOP certification scheme from the perspective of competitiveness in the global market;

•     Defining the context and risk-based thinking: introduction and operational application of the two new elements introduced by the latest edition of the standard. What it means to verify processes based on risk/opportunity analysis and what the impact is on the company’s operational reality;

•     Analysis and mapping of organizational processes: the process sheet and the turtle model, identification of inputs and outputs, customers and their requirements, available means and resources, necessary supporting documents, and performance monitoring indicators. Process management from a risk-based thinking perspective;

•     understanding and application of the standard: the specific requirements introduced by 9100:2018 and the related differences compared to the previous version of UNI EN 9100:2009, the process-based approach, data analysis, and continuous improvement aimed at customer satisfaction;

•     planning the audit according to the process-based approach and risk-based thinking: purposes and objectives, tools, operational procedures, critical elements. Assessing the management of risks and opportunities within the processes;

•     Overview of the new edition of ISO 9101:2018 regarding the ICOP certification scheme and its impact on corporate quality management systems.

The course covers the analysis of all regulatory requirements, with reference to both ISO 9001 and 9100.

During the course, participants will be evaluated through group and individual activities and a written exam.

Those who successfully pass these tests will be issued a certificate confirming their passing of the exam.
